Six-element pendant lamp in molded opal glass – Italy, 1970s
Important Italian pendant lamp from the 1970s, composed of six elements in molded opal glass with a concentric relief and a heat-treated finish.
The diffusers, created by pressing in a mold, feature a regular concentric wave pattern that gives depth and rhythm to the surface. The heat-treated finish softens the profiles and creates a luminous, full, and compact material.
The central radial metal structure supports the six elements in a typically space-age sculptural balance, with an architectural yet organic presence.
Attributable to Murano production, Mazzega AV area, first half of the 1970s.
Period: 1970s
Materials: Molded and heat-treated opal glass, chromed and painted metal
Condition: Good overall condition with minor signs of aging on the structure consistent with its age
