Rattan container with lid, second half of the 20th century.
Large decorative container, made of thin, curved rattan canes arranged horizontally in a continuous row, creating a surface punctuated by concentric rings. The structure is not woven: the rattan is wrapped and secured by overlapping, following the contours of the body.

The shape is rounded at the bottom, narrows in the center, and opens again toward the mouth. The slightly rounded lid features the same concentric design and is completed with a small wooden handle on top.

The material retains a beautiful amber patina, with natural variations in tone, small marks, and irregularities consistent with age and craftsmanship.
