Pierrot Table Lamp – 1960s
Enamelled ceramic lamp depicting a seated Pierrot holding a luminous opaline glass sphere.
The figure, inspired by the tradition of the Commedia dell'Arte, is reinterpreted in a more pop and domestic style: a melancholic face with a black tear, soft lines, and pastel colors.
The satin blue enamel and simplified modeling hark back to mid-century production, where the theatrical element becomes an accessible decorative object. The diffused light from the sphere creates a warm and intimate effect, transforming the lamp into a small luminous sculpture.
Materials: enameled ceramic, opaline glass
Period: 1960s
Production: likely Italian or French
Character: decorative, poetic, slightly naïve
