Piero Fornasetti, “Tema e Variazioni” plate no. 82
Decorative porcelain plate from the *Tema e Variazioni* (Theme and Variations) series by Piero Fornasetti, Milan. It features Lina Cavalieri—a recurring muse in the Fornasetti universe—portrayed here in a frontal view with her tongue sticking out. This irreverent touch subverts the face's classical elegance, perfectly capturing the irony and sense of the uncanny characteristic of Fornasetti’s work.
