Pendant Lamp with Concentric Rings, Italy, 1970s
This Italian-made pendant lamp dates back to the 1970s, featuring a graphic and dynamic composition that fully reflects the pop and spatial design language of the period.
The central body supports a spherical diffuser in white opal glass, designed to diffuse a soft and uniform light. A decorative structure composed of two concentric rings in red lacquered metal surrounds the sphere, creating a highly dramatic, three-dimensional visual effect.
The structure is attached to an upper cylindrical support, also lacquered red, from which the black suspension cable extends. The rings, in addition to their decorative function, frame the luminous sphere, creating an interesting interplay of lines and volumes that changes depending on the perspective.
This type of lamp is typical of Italian production in the 1970s, where bright color, circular geometry, and structural lightness became key elements of the design.
