Pair of 600/P table lamps, designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1966 and produced by Arteluce, a historic Milanese company founded by Sarfatti himself in 1939.

The 600/P is one of the most original designs in Sarfatti's exploration of the ability to direct light through extremely simple and functional solutions. Instead of a traditional rigid base, the lamp rests on a spherical bag of stitched leather filled with small metal spheres: the weight and shape of the base allow the lamp to assume different inclinations simply by shifting its center of gravity.

The body and distinctive reflector are made of cream-colored lacquered aluminum, with a compact and sinuous shape that integrates the structure, diffuser, and orientation mechanism into a single small object.

Presented in the 1966 Arteluce catalog, the 600/P was also exhibited at the 14th Milan Triennale in 1968, a testament to the model's importance within Italian lighting design of the time.

These examples retain the original Arteluce label, visible on the lamp body. The pair exhibits signs of age and use, particularly evident on the base covering, which retains its original patina.
