Oval wall mirror, Italy, 1930s–1940s

Oval mirror with a ground mirrored panel inserted into a stamped metal frame, originally silvered (now a dull gray due to oxidation).

Original mercury/silvered glass with marked surface oxidation: scattered speckles, haze, and areas of desilvering that alter the reflection, making it discontinuous. Smooth edge with no obvious chips.

Back consists of a shaped wooden panel, secured with metal rivets. Original suspension system with woven metal wire and supports attached to the panel. Traces of oxidation also on the rear metal elements.

Condition: Good structural condition; evident signs of aging on the glass and metal consistent with its age.
