Opal glass and brass pendant lamp, Italy, 1950s–60s

Pendant lamp made in Italy between the late 1950s and early 1960s. The diffuser is a sphere of milky opal glass, designed to ensure soft, even light diffusion.

The sphere is topped with a red enameled metal element, a chromatic detail typical of the formal research of the period, which introduces a clean, measured graphic accent. The rod and ceiling rose are made of brass, with a finish consistent with the period.
