"Noce" Floor Lamp – Achille Castiglioni for Flos, 1990
Essential, ironic, surprisingly contemporary.
The Noce lamp, designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, is a luminous object with a strong formal identity, designed to stand on the floor and engage with its surroundings in a discreet yet decisive manner.
The body, with its soft, continuous lines, houses a large prismatic glass diffuser, inspired by old industrial ceiling lamps, but revisited with Castiglioni's playful and rigorous approach. Inside, two adjustable bulbs on an articulated support allow the lighting to be adjusted according to use and space.
It's a lamp that can't be hung or lifted, but rather placed, moved, and observed. Perfect for those seeking a piece of unconventional design with a story to tell.
