Kartell – Model 4963
Designer: Olaf von Bohr
Italy, 1963 – Made in the 1960s/1970s
Modular container in molded ABS, in its iconic bright yellow hue. Designed in 1963 by Olaf von Bohr for Kartell, it represents one of the most recognizable projects of the experimental period of Italian plastic design.
Composed of three stackable modules with rounded corners and horizontal handles integrated into the mold. Compact lines, soft volumes, and a strong graphic presence.
Opening system:
The upper module has a different opening than the other two elements: the flap is hinged at the side and tilts outward with a more structured movement.
The middle and lower modules have a traditional downward flap opening.
