Industrial glass-fronted metal cabinet, 4 tilting doors – 1940s/1950s
Large professional filing cabinet, entirely made of sheet steel painted in a rare sage green/grey-green shade typical of mid-20th-century technical furniture.
The structure is organized into four stacked compartments, each closed by a tilting door that swings upward, with tubular metal handles and a central lock for each module.
The fronts are equipped with transparent panels (industrial glass), designed to allow visibility of the contents, a typical solution for cabinets used in:
– clinics
– laboratories
– technical archives
– industrial departments or specialized warehouses.
The interior of each compartment is made of metal, with a fixed shelf.
The original Steelmade label, identifying a professional metal furniture manufacturer, is featured on the top front.
