Glass Jar with Metal Lid – Italy, 1930s/1940s
A delightful pressed glass jar with characteristic vertical ribs and a slightly flared shape, completed with a patinated metal lid (probably tin or zamak) with a turned knob.
A simple yet characterful object, with a 1930s/1940s domestic aesthetic reminiscent of old kitchens, grocery stores, and the pantry jars of bygone days.
The glass features a molded finish with four vertical panels framed by subtle decorative reliefs. The rim shows signs of aging and some small irregularities consistent with use. The worn and slightly oxidized lid adds authentic charm.
Perfect as a decorative container, for a vintage kitchen, or as a dramatic prop in a photoshoot.
Materials: pressed glass, metal
Period: 1930s/1940s
Condition: good, with signs of use and patina
