Children's rattan armchair, 1950s/1960s
Description
This children's armchair is made of curved, hand-woven natural rattan. It features a lightweight yet well-defined structure, a round seat, a slightly inclined high backrest, and continuous armrests integrated into the frame.
The construction is based on a series of vertical uprights connected by overlapping structural rings, with exposed wicker bindings at the joints.
The simple and harmonious design reflects the aesthetic typical of mid-twentieth-century wickerwork, designed for home furnishings and, in particular, for children.
This is not a small-scale decorative object, but a truly functional seat, designed for children's proportions.
