Cane with internal blade and military pommel, first half of the 20th century
Climb cane in black lacquered wood, complete with a thin steel blade hidden inside the shaft. The grip is its distinctive element: a spherical metal head with an embossed emblem of the British Intelligence Corps, featuring a Tudor rose in the center, surmounted by a crown and framed by laurel leaves.
The surface of the pommel features a fascinating period oxidation, enhancing its military character and authenticity.
The cane, slender and rigorous, recalls the tradition of officer's sticks or swagger sticks, here transformed into a "gadget" version with an internal blade, likely intended for collectors or as private objects of the military themselves.
A piece with a strong, iconic, and narrative aesthetic, ideal for military collections, cabinets of curiosities, and photo shoots.
