1940s Italian Bentwood Tube Radio
Elegant and striking tabletop tube radio, produced in Italy between the late 1930s and mid-1940s, featuring a bentwood case and a splendid vertical grille in late Art Deco style.
The top features a vertical slat pattern that frames the original soundstage—now charmingly worn, with a truly authentic patina. Below, the large silkscreened glass displays the European station indicator ("Long - Medium - Short") with graphics typical of pre-war and immediate post-war radios.
The front features four large dark Bakelite knobs for volume, tuning, and band selection, along with the central power button, likely used for power.
The slightly raised black base completes the structure and emphasizes its sculptural presence.
