Reclining Chair – Italy, 1960s
Elegant Italian reclining chair from the 1960s, featuring a soft, enveloping line. The frame features full, rounded armrests that connect with the high backrest, designed to offer comfortable support and a relaxed posture.
The seat features a reclining mechanism, allowing the backrest to be extended and the integrated footrest to be raised, transforming the chair into a compact chaise longue. The system is discreet and perfectly integrated into the frame.
The original tartan-patterned fabric upholstery in shades of red, orange, brown, and beige gives the chair a strong graphic character and a typically 1960s–1970s feel, bringing warmth and personality to the room.
The base is composed of black-painted metal legs with brass feet, which visually lighten the padded volume and emphasize the piece's modernist aesthetic.
An armchair designed for relaxation but also extremely decorative, ideal in a vintage living room or as an iconic element in a contemporary interior.
