Pair of stackable coffee tables made of resin and fibreglass. Design by Vico Magistretti for Artemide. A 1964 project born from the section and shaping of a photographic washing tank. Magistretti was inspired by the ease with which photographic tanks could be combined to create more complex and solid systems. It therefore reduces the surface area to a structural minimum, leaving the support shelf and the corners as legs to support the table. Taking the design concept to the extreme, Magistretti manages to transform a coffee table into a potential shelving unit, taking up the previous design of the T8 coffee tables with more modern materials. Various examples of the work are exhibited in the design collection of the MOMA in New York
